Bonnie Hurd Smith has been writing and speaking about women’s history for twenty years, and she is known as a passionate and tireless promoter of women’s history and how it can serve as a source of pride and inspiration for girls, young women, and women. She is the nationally recognized expert on the 18th century essayist from Massachusetts Judith Sargent Murray, the author of six books, the creator of women’s history walking trails in Boston and nearby Salem, and a recent board member of the National Collaborative for Women’s History Sites. Bonnie is the president of History Smiths, an award-winning company that works with individuals, businesses, and nonprofits to incorporate history into their PR, marketing, and community outreach in ways that benefit themselves, their business, and the communities they serve. Bonnie holds two degrees from Simmons College, where she also lectures on women’s history.
